Nutritionist II

Occupational Summary
Provides individual client nutrition and diet counseling to clients assessing nutritional needs anthropometric, biochemical, clinical, dietary and socioeconomic information to develop nutrition care plan.

Qualifications
General knowledge of accepted nutritional and dietetic principals and practices. Basic knowledge of foods and nutrition. Basic knowledge of infant and child development. Ability to maintain rapport with clients. Ability to collect and assimilate information. Ability to communicate and be persuasive.

Graduation from a four year College or University with a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition, dietetic, or public health nutrition, or a bachelor's degree in home economics with 12 hours in nutrition course work. One year of experience in the field of nutrition.

Qualifications
Requires a working knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in scheduling appointments. Some judgement and initiative are required in a timely execution of the appointment system some clerical and ability to use CRT is required. Must have ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English. Ability to follow standard clerical and office procedures, write legibly, be polite and courteous to patients/staff and follow written guidelines.

Graduation from high school or equivalent. Previous clerical experience preferred.

Nursing Assistant

Performs direct patient care under the direction of Registered Licensed Practical Nurse in the clinic. Dental Assistant

Provides assistance to dentist. Prepares patients for treatment, processes dental x-rays films, set up instruments and dental materials and sterilizes instruments after patient treatment, chart dental anomalies, maintain dental records and routine clerical duties.

Qualifications

Completion of certified program in dental assistance and successful completion of the certification exam. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a dental office preferred.

Skill in the application of nursing procedures and ability to investigate and study trends and developments in nursing practices. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 1 year administrative experience.

Graduation from a approved School of Nursing and have a current license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. B.S.N. preferred.

Chief Medical Officer
(Administration)

Occupational Summary
The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the overall management of all Clinical programs at Lincoln Community Health Center including the Internal Medicine and Pediatric Departments. Responsible for the staffing, productivity requirements, contractual relationships, and scheduling for clinical areas including the Early Intervention, Walltown, Lyon Park, Hillside, Homeless, Lincoln-Duke Urgent Care and the Just for Us program. The Chief Medical Officer will have the responsibility for the overall management of all quality of care program and will coordinate lab, x-ray and pharmacy services. The position directly supervises the Adult Medicines and Pediatric Chiefs, Director of Nursing and Dental Director.

Qualifications
The position requires knowledge of medical management, with health center medical management preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required. The position requires completion of Medical School and Residency Programs as well as Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatric or Family Practice.

A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in Adult and Pediatric care is required. Five (5) years of clinical leadership is also required preferably in a large Physician Practice or Community Health Center.

Bi-Lingual Patient Services Representative

Occupational Summary
Performs a variety of specialized analytical, interviewing and administrative work generally performed in the patient accounting section which includes direct patient contact, registering patients, updating patients records, patient intake, interacting with insurance companies, collecting and posting of patient and third party payments. Assisting Spanish speaking patients in accessing all Clinic services by providing any needed translation services.

Qualifications
Considerable ability to deal tactfully, firmly and courteously with patients or third party payers concerning payment of unpaid accounts. Numerical ability required to analyze accounts, interact with patients to establish payments plans, and prepare statistical reports. Ability to present oral/written reports. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Ability to understand HMO and other third party insurance coverage.

High School or commercial school graduate with courses in Business English, Business Math and Accounting. Experience of two (2) or more years in a similar job.

Mid Level Practitioner
(Early Intervention Clinic)

Occupational Summary
Primary responsibility for the medical management of patients in the Early Intervention Clinic. Augments the physicians ability to provide medical services to patients at the Clinic; collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations and provides direct patient care services. (All of the above directly or indirectly supervised by one or more physicians).

Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of the Center's operation and procedures; ability to skillfully and accurately perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; thorough understanding of the patient's needs and how these can best be met by appropriate use of facilities and personnel. Ability to communicate with skill, clarity and accuracy with the patients, physicians and ancillary health workers at all levels.

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Must have a current license to practice in the state of North Carolina. Certification in designated field required. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Mid-Level required. Previous experience in an administrative or supervisory role is also required.

Clinical Social Worker
(Behavioral Health)

Occupational Summary
Provides initial assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, case management and treatment services for adult patients and screening for adolescents and children. May assist in planning, developing, implementing health promotion and disease prevention programs and therapeutic services for individuals; groups and families. Serves as resource person or coordinates for designated unit functions.

Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of psycho-social, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders, including substance abuse and chronic medical problems. Thorough knowledge for specific patient populations for which the position may be required to serve. The ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and educational levels. Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with patients, staff, community resources and the general public.

Master's degree in Social Work required. A minimal of three (3) years Post Master's work experience as a clinical social work in a health or mental health setting or five (5) years experience in a non-clinical setting. N.C. LCSW is required.
