Medical Assistant

Occupational Summary
Provide a variety of clinical duties under the direction of a Medical Provider. Follow established Medical Assistant guidelines as approved by Lincoln Community Health Center.

Qualifications
General clinical knowledge to include performing basic laboratory test, patient education, patient medical histories usually through clinical internships. The position requires excellent customer services skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff and Medical Providers.

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting Program preferably with an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting supplemented by the RMA and / or CMA exam.

Clinical Nurse Manager

Occupational Summary
Responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting with the management of personnel as assigned. Demonstrates the use of the nursing process. Actively supports the LCHC's mission of service, education and research.

Qualifications
Knowledge of professional nursing practices techniques and procedures. Knowledge of community health nursing in promotion, prevention. Knowledge of Nursing Diagnosing. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to supervise nursing personnel. Ability to exercise sound judgment and react currently in emergency situation. Skill in the application of nursing procedures and ability to investigate and study trends and developments in nursing practices. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 1 year administrative experience.

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and have a current license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. B.S.N. preferred.

Numerical ability required to analyze accounts, interact with patients to establish payment plans, and prepare statistical reports. Ability to present oral/written reports. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Ability to understand HMO and other third party insurance coverage.

High School or commercial school graduate with courses in Business English, Business Math and accounting . Experience of two (2) or more years in a similar job.
