Occupational Summary
Provide a variety of clinical duties under the direction of a Medical Provider. Follow established Medical Assistant guidelines as approved by Lincoln Community Health Center.

Qualifications
General clinical knowledge to include performing basic laboratory test, patient education, patient medical histories usually through clinical internships. The position requires excellent customer services skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff and Medical Providers.

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting Program preferably with an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting supplemented by the RMA and / or CMA exam.

Occupational Summary

Provides a variety of outreach activities to patients diagnosed with chronic health conditions followed in the various clinics. Provided support to the Health Educator by visiting patient's in their home and providing additional information / resources to assist with the management of their chronic health condition. Assist the Health Educator and Medical provider with data collection and reports related to the management of chronic health conditions.

Qualifications
Employee must have the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations socio-economic backgrounds in the office and home. The employee should have a working knowledge of chronic health diseases and their management. The ability to put at ease and solicit information in his/her environment is required. Bilingual Required

Graduation from High School required. Some college in the area of Public Health desired. Bachelors Degree in Health Education preferred.

Bilingual Patient Services Representative

Occupational Summary
Performs a variety of specialized analytical, interviewing and administrative work generally performed in the patient accounting section which includes direct patient contact, registering patients, updating patients records, patient intake, interacting with insurance companies, collecting and posting of patient and third party payments. Assisting Spanish speaking patients in accessing all Clinic services by providing any needed translation services.

Qualifications
Considerable ability to deal tactfully, firmly and courteously with patients or third party payers concerning payment of unpaid accounts. Numerical ability required to analyze accounts, interact with patients to establish payment plans, and prepare statistical reports. Ability to present oral/written reports. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Ability to understand HMO and other third party insurance coverage.

High School or commercial school graduate with courses in Business English, Business Math and accounting. Experience of two (2) or more years in a similar job.

Nursing Administrator/Quality Improvement Director

Provide general oversight and approval of clinic scheduling to ensure patient care needs are met in an efficient and productive manner. The position is responsible for establishing nursing care standards/practice for the organization in accordance with the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act. Promotes quality standards and serves as Quality Improvement Coordinator for the organization and coordinates the Joint Commission survey process.

Qualifications
Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field required. Bachelors Degree in Nursing and license to practice in NC required. A minimum of seven years Nursing or Clinical Administration experience required.

Occupational Summary
Performs a variety of duties while serving in the health center to provide standard medical services to patients. Examines patients utilizing medical equipment, tests and other appropriate instruments. Orders or executes various tests, analyses x-rays to provide information on patients' conditions.

Qualifications
Capable of evaluating findings of the patients' histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic procedures and tests to provide the maximum benefits toward improving the patients' health and general well being in the most humane fashion. Works independently or as a team member limited only by Center's policy and special instructions of the Chief of Medicine.

Graduation from an accredited school of medicine. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina. Completed (residency in Internal Medicine) and eligible or certified by the appropriate specialty board. The latter may be waived at the discretion of the Chief of Medicine with prior approval of the Chief Executive Officer. If not Board Certified at the time of hiring, physicians must become board certified within 3 years in order to maintain privileges. Two to three years of medical experience is desirable, but not mandatory. Clinic experience in an ambulatory setting desirable.

Completion of Licensed Practical Nurse curriculum at an accredited program with a formal pharmacology course required. Must be licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina.
